Another productive morning was spent along the New Jersey Waterfront, this time in the town of Weehawken, New Jersey.
The air was perfectly still, thus not disturbing the surface of the Hudson River, which in turn produced long, smooth and dramatic reflections of the light originating from the various buildings found in Mid-town Manhattan.
Sky Mother also helped out with a beautiful skyscape behind and above the skyscrapers giving my photograph much more depth. It was a gift gladly accepted by yours truly.
This composition is the first one I shot, and it is comprised of two images stitched together. I could have easily packed up and headed home, but there was so much more to be photographed as the morning unfolded. Those captures will soon be uploaded for your purchasing considerations.
About the title: "Formulaic Improvisition" is the use of a wide variety of elements (including favorite licks or fragments, manipulations of intervals and range, interpolated phrases, etc.) in developing a JaZZ solo....
